Matt Toresco broke his neck playing Division I lacrosse at Ohio State. Eighteen years as a chronic pain patient followed — years of misdiagnoses, unnecessary surgeries and opioid dependence — teaching him what the healthcare industry typically misses and fuelling his current work.
He founded and leads Archo, a healthcare intelligence company whose syndicated research and training help pharma and biotech teams turn patient advocacy insights and engagement into measurable business results.
Matt built his career across pharma, biotech and genomics in roles spanning commercial sales, market access and training, then shifted to consulting in 2016. Through Matt Toresco, LLC, he speaks, writes and advises leaders on placing the patient voice at the centre of commercial strategy across healthcare sectors.
He also founded The EMPWRD Patient Foundation, a nonprofit that equips patients with tools and education to manage their own health data. His TEDx Charleston talk has exceeded one million views. Matt lives outside Charleston, SC, with his wife and two daughters.
